Crystal is the younger sister of Jaune Arc, but unlike the majority of her family she didn't want to be a huntressso with the help of Saphron she opened up a library in Argus, over time she even extended it to the point it was almost as big as Beacon itself by the time Team RWBY, Team JNR, Oscar, Qrow, and Maria got to the townhowever it wasn't all good, about a year after she opened the library someone broke in to rob her when she was on her break after resisting they stabbed her in her side and took what money she had and by the time she got to the hospital she lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion luckily they had a volunteer that was her blood type, a shark faunusafter the transfusion though there was a small side effect....while not becoming a faunus she did gain a small trait that of pointy elf-like ears

Her semblance gives her the ability to make people temporarily mute and unable to speak till either she deactivates it, her aura runs out, or its been more then 5 hoursall she has to do is look at the person and snap her fingers
